Hello Community of Pawnee,
Education has changed in just the last ten years. School Districts and communities are facing uneasy times because the State of Illinois cannot meet their own obligations for funding what the State Constitution says it should fund. School districts are being faced with many unfunded mandates, new rules and regulations, and a decrease in funding. This is a very critical time for the Pawnee Community School District.
April 9th will bring about an election. I am pleased we have 13 members of the community who want to tackle these uncertain times in education. As the Superintendent of Pawnee, I am encouraging every eligible voter to vote for the candidate you think will help the school district progress through the uncertainty of the state. April is not a big publicized voting month. I would like to encourage you to vote. We need the community’s voice when it comes to the future of our school and the future of our students.
