Both Pawnee contestants, Paige Langheim and Cole White, did a fantastic job at yesterday's Poetry Out Loud regional contest.  Special congratulations to Cole, who earned second place -- that means he'll compete at the state level March 9th!


Congratulations to 8th grader Kyle Neuber who won second place in the County Spelling Bee yesterday.


Mrs. Seiler would thank everyone for their cooperation with the County Spelling.  Thanks to all the students who helped set up, tear down, and helped run the bee.  Thanks to all the teachers and staff who helped out with the bee.   Great job, everyone!


Mrs. Seiler needs to see all Junior Beta Club members at the beginning of homeroom.  It will only take two minutes.

Mrs, Harris by Friday.


This week is FFA week. Dress up days are as follows:

On Friday there will be an FFA cookout in the bus garage. Students wishing to eat at the cookout need to contact Mr. Rawlings with their order. The meals are $5.00. You must have your order and payment in by today.


Job Opportunities: Pawnee Youth Baseball and Softball Association has paid positions for this next spring and summer. Umpires- pick up a form in the HS office if interested. Concession stand workers - type a letter of interest stating why you are interested in the job- include previous work experience, qualifications, etc.  Put the letter in an envelope and turn in to Mr. Hennemann by Thursday.



There are new scholarships available in Mr. Scheffers' office.


Final senior trip payment is due February 26.



If you are interested in the job shadowing activity the applications are due by Friday.



Reminder that money and permission slips for the field trip are due to Mrs. Dirksen by February 28.



Anyone that was not at the Fannie May candy meeting on Friday, needs to see Mrs. Copp to pick up the fundraiser information.


Reminder: Sale dates for Fannie May are 2/9 – 2/26.  All orders must be turned in to Mrs. Copp by the end of the day Tuesday.  Late orders will not be accepted.


Jr. High:

Jostens will be here today during lunch and homeroom to deliver the 8th grade promotion items.


Forms for the JH yearbook are on the counter in the high school office.  Forms and payment are due by March 8. Cost is $14.00.


Extra Curricular:

Student Council: T-shirts are in.  Please see Ms. Marsaglia with payment of $5.00 to pick yours up.


FFA: Permission slips and money for Buffalo Wild Wings are due by Friday.  



HS Boys’ Basketball: All uniforms are due today after school.  Please meet Coach Simpson in the locker room.


HS baseball practice will begin Monday.  We will start with a meeting in coach Hennemann's room at 3:45.

Open gym schedule this week: Tuesday 5:30-8:30, Wednesday 3:30-6:00, Thursday 3:30-6:30.
