Congratulations to Mr. Seiler and the WYSE team on their 3rd place overall finish in the WYSE competition. Congratulations to Sara Rothe 1st place Math and 2nd place Computer Science, David Greiner 1st place Biology, and Mason Lott 3rd place Biology.
Orientation for high school students will be Monday, February 13 in the auditorium. Freshmen orientation will begin at 6:30, CACC, LLCC, and the Step Work Program will present at 7:00, and the sophomore, junior, and senior orientation will be at 7:30. This orientation is for the student who will be in these grades next year. The new graduation requirements and new course offerings for next year will be discussed.

Students: Check out the report posted outside the high school office to see who ranks as the most compatible students in our school. Right now you can see the list for 4th-10th most compatible. Check back each day to see who is the 3rdmost compatible on Friday, 2nd most on Monday, and then the most compatible displayed on Tuesday, Valentine’s Day. If you would like to purchase your data match printout, they will be for sale during lunch on Monday and Tuesday in the senior hallway. Two printouts are available, one for your grade and the other for the entire school. The cost is $2 for one printout or 2/$3. See Wyatt Neisler if you have any questions.
Student Council is hosting a “Penny War” all week. Pennies and dollars add to your class total while silver coins subtract. Place your donations in the lockers next to the bulletin board outside the high school office. All proceeds go to UCP. As of yesterday, the penny war totals are: In last place, the sophomores with 22 cents, freshmen right behind the sophomores with 23 cents, juniors have 47 cents and the seniors are leading with 92 cents. Please check your cars and coat pockets for loose change and donate it to a good cause.
Student Council is selling Valentine’s Day flowers. See Hannah ‘Taylor to place your order.
Pawnee Youth Baseball and Softball Association will be hiring concession workers for the upcoming summer. Those interested should get a letter of interest to Mr. C. Hennemann by February 17.
The Pawnee After Prom committee will sponsor a Black Light Bowling event on Sunday, February 19, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The event will be held at AMF Laketown Lanes, 3220 Stanton Avenue, Springfield (Located just off Stevenson Drive). Cost is $15 per person which includes unlimited bowling for two hours and bowling shoes. In conjunction with the event, a bake sale will be held. Church youth groups, sports teams, students of all ages, teachers, families, alumni and friends are all invited to join in the fun. Members of the junior class and the After Prom Committee are selling advanced tickets. Tickets can also be purchased by contacting Joe and Bev Neisler at 625-7114 or neisler1@comcast.net. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. Reservation forms are located on the high school counter.

Concession stand workers for Saturday’s 6th Grade Tournament are Shift 1: Courtney Tarr, Gianni Bennett, Jacob Bloome, Megan Boarman, Joe Comerford. Report to the cafeteria at 9:15.
Shift 2: Mason Lott, Jordan Surber, Becca Neal, Sierra Jones, Sydney Schober. Report to the cafeteria at 12:30.

Extra-Curricular:
Yearbook staff members need to see Mrs. Dirksen today to pick up raffle ticket bundles. Drawing for the raffle will be held Friday, February 17 during the basketball game.
Cinderella Cast members – times for Saturday’s rehearsal have been changed from 9-12. We will run the entire show so please be prompt. See Mrs. Reinwald for details.
