Congratulations to the 2016 Homecoming Court: Freshmen—Hanna Adcock, Warren Urbanckas, Sophomores—Riley Ramsey, Aaron Schatz, Juniors—Allison Baker, Cole Bland, Seniors—Hannah Gudgel, Trenton Eckert, Chelby Harden, Austin Galloway, Julie L’heureux, Francisco Pino Mamian, Haley Ward, and Evan Roberts.

Homecoming schedule is as follows:

There will be a Pep Assembly on Thursday at 2:45 for all 5th-8th grade students in the Varsity Gym.

State Tournament baseball t-shirts are being sold.  You can pick up a form in the high school office or from Coach Hennemann.  Orders and payment are due tomorrow by 9:00 am.

Blood Drive today 11:00-4:00. 

Student Council would like to thank all the students who came to the lock in this weekend.  The hallways look amazing.  A special thank you to Mrs. Harris and Mr. Kratochvil for the extra support.

Payment for PE uniforms is due by Friday, September 30th.  Please bring payment to the high school office.

The menu for the Homecoming Cookout is your choice of a cheeseburger, hamburger, or 2 hotdogs with baked beans, chips, cookies, and a drink for the low price of $5.00.  Additional hamburger or hotdog can be purchased for $1.00.  Payment is due at the time of order and all orders need to be placed by Thursday at noon.  Please see the following to order: Freshmen—Jessica Roberts, Sophomores—Paige Langheim, Juniors—Jacob Harris, Seniors—Cade Hennemann.

Pawnee United Methodist Church is hosting a dinner before the Homecoming dance on October 1, from 6:00-8:00.  The menu consists of grilled chicken, pasta con broccoli or rigatoni, salad, bread and dessert.  Check out the event on Facebook for more details and to RSVP.


If you have suggestions for Who’s Who, please write them down and place them in the inbox in Mrs. Harris’ room by Friday.

Students going on the Senior Trip: Your non-refundable $100 deposit is due to Mr. Kirby on or before October 24.

Jr. High:

There will be a fan bus to the JH Baseball State Finals in East Peoria on Friday.  The cost is $5.00 per person.  Students must sign up in the high school office and pay their fee by noon on Thursday.Payment is due at the time of sign up. In addition, there is a $2.00 admission fee to the game and lunch is on your own at the stadium. The bus will leave from the high school south doors near the student parking lot at 7:45 sharp. Please make arrangements to be at the school prior to departure time.

Any 7th or 8th grader interested in participating in Jr. High Scholastic Bowl this winter needs to see Mr. Wilson before school or during homeroom by Friday, September 30th,  to pick up information and the signup form. 

Extra Curricular: 

FFA: The AG Sales CDE on Wednesday will depart at 3:30 from the south doors.


Congratulations to the JH Baseball team and Coach Hennemann on their sectional win Saturday over Bunker Hill.  They will begin state play against Dietrich on Friday at 9:30 in East Peoria.

JH Boys’ Basketball:  There will be a meeting for all boys interested in playing basketball today during homeroom in Mr. Hamilton’s room.
