Congratulations to the Volleyball team on their regional championship last night. The team plays in sectionals Tuesday night against Hardin Calhoun at 6:30 at Lincolnwood.
Pep Assembly today at 2:45 in the Varsity Gym. All cheerleaders and band members need to be dismissed at 2:30.
Football Conference shirts are in. Football players will receive their shirts after the pep assembly today from Coach Thein.
Just a reminder, students are not allowed to wear costumes for Halloween. This includes headbands that constitutes a costume.
Students and staff, as of Thursday evening, we had not met our goal of $500 for the American Cancer Society. Today is the last day to donate. There is a jar on the office counter or you may see Mrs. Seiler to make a donation. Remember, if we meet our goal, Mr. Kratochvil will be the target of many water balloons.
“Friends of Football” will be hosting a tailgate before the playoff game tonight. They will be serving chili, ribeye sandwiches, and tacos in a bag beginning at 5:30. All proceeds will be donated to the PHS Football program.
After Prom is sponsoring a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wabash Ave. on Nov. 5, from 5:00-9:00. Tickets are on the counter in the high school office.
Juniors & Seniors: The deadline to sign up for the December 13 ACT test is November 7. You can sign up at www.actstudent.org. Please see Mrs. Duenas if you need assistance. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, you do not have to pay to take the ACT test. See Mrs. Duenas for a fee waiver.
Jostens will be here on Wednesday, Nov. 5, during homeroom to take your graduation package orders. All seniors should turn in their completed forms along with a $60.00 deposit . Please make all checks payable to Jostens. Seniors should wear their black t-shirts for the senior blackout photo on Thursday, November 6.
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be here Monday, Nov. 3 at 7:00 in the cafeteria for Financial Aid Night. They will present information on the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Assistance). All Parents and students are encouraged to attend. Scholarships, grants, loans and any new changes to the 2015 FAFSA will be discussed.

HS Scholastic Bowl: Meeting Monday, Nov. 3 during homeroom in Mr. Koniak’s room for all students interested in Scholastic Bowl.
Interact: Meeting Tuesday, Nov. 4 during homeroom in the library.
Open gym next week on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 6 -7:30 pm and on Wednesday from 3:40-4:40 for any athletes who are not currently participating in a fall sport. Athletes should meet in the HS gym.
HS Boys’ Basketball: All shoe money is due by Monday, Nov. 3.
