Open House Arts Night at PGS Huge Success!

by Diana Doglio

The annual Open House Arts Night at Pawnee School was held on Thursday, May 5. A huge crowd attended to enjoy the beautiful artwork, dances, and music created by Pawnee Grade School students. We hope you can take a few minutes to view the three photo galleries on this page depicting scenes from the event. Be sure to visit the Science link below; on that page you will also find more artistic displays to view.

As you can see from the photos below, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Stout had another successful book fair thanks to the support of students, teachers, and community members.

A big Thank You is extended to all who worked so hard in making the school look impeccable and all those who attended Open House Arts Night! This may have been our most impressive display of talent ever.

Natalie Bell and her art students did an outstanding job of making the school look fantastic. Mrs. Weller hosted a dance event for K-2, Mrs. Springman's fourth graders played the recorders, and Mrs. Speiser's fifth grade students gave demonstrations and presented information regarding their Science Projects. Volcanoes, state reports, computer projects, animal reports, interactive maps, the many essays, part of me and look-a-likes, chick folders, and farm and music projects filled the classrooms and hallways.

The bake sale hosted by the "Kids Care Club" for Kailey earned over $1,200.00!!! Thanks for your generosity and support Pawnee community.

Many people enjoyed the delicious meal served by the Lion's Club from 4 to 6:30. Notice the purple chains adorning the center of the tables. For each link $1. was donated by Pawnee students to Tony's charity, The American Cancer Society.

Avery & Ashlyn got reacquainted with some old friends on the special night.

Students had a good time counting lizards that had escaped the art room.
Do you know how many were creeping about?
