   The Village of Pawnee has several steps in place in the event of severe weather...

This is an informational article outlining safe havens and procedures.

If there is a severe thunderstorm warning

or

Tornado warning in the vicinity

Of Pawnee’s jurisdictional weather

boundary line...

Public shelters will be opened up

 

Pawnee’s Weather Boundary is as Follows:
North Boundary Is Toronto Road
South Boundary

Is Montgomery County Line

East Boundary

Is Christian County Line

West Boundary

Is Route 4

Shelters will be available until the threats

are out of the weather boundaries


 

The Shelters are Located At

Pawnee Assembly of God Church

1001 8th Street

AND

Pawnee Fire Department

711 8th Street


(The Firehouse is for Disabled Citizens Only)
 


They must provide their own transportation

(All should park on the west side of the building.)

 

There Will Be NO PETS Allowed

at Either Shelter

 

Sirens will be activated when an immediate weather

threat of any kind is in the jurisdictional area

 

Each resident should have an

Emergency Plan set in

place for all family member

ahead of an emergency
