Would like to know of any upcoming reunions, etc. For those of you IâÂÂve not spoken to in years, a quick briefing of my life after graduation went to school some more and more, got married in 1998 to Steve, who I went to high school with, we have 3 children, live out in the country an hour west of St. Louis in a small town that reminds me alot of Pawnee. We own a campground and canoe rental business, a deck business and Steve is a captain at Pattonville Fire Distict. Joined a consulting engineering firm based in Canada in 1976 and have been there ever since. I was first based in Winnipeg and then moved to Vancouver (host of the 2010 Olympics) in 1980. I am a Pricipal with Klohn Crippen Berger and have worked throughout Canada, much of the northern USA, Australia, Papua New Guninea, and St. Lucia on mines, dams, and heavy industrial foundations. After school I farmed, worked at Firestore Tire in Decatur for one Night, was in construction, a coal miner at Freeman and Peabody for 16 yrs. before having my own construction company. After retiring in 1998, we moved to Pomme de Terre Lake, MO for a few years, spending summers in God's Country on the Chippewa Flowage in Couderay, WI and fishing whenever I wanted. Since 2006 I have lived in Palmer and spend my time mowing grass, working with my sawmill, planting my garden, hunting and fishing, when time permits. Now I have another hat to wear as Mayor of Palmer as of May 10, 2009, a choice I may end up regretting. We only go around once in life, so we just as well make the most of it while we can!!! And remember... today is the first day of the rest of your life! Enjoy it! |
