PHS Band Contestants Earn Top Honors at Contest

Congratulations to all!

I.H.S.A. Solo and Ensemble Contest was held Saturday March 7, 2009 at Carlinville High School. Pawnee band members rehearsed diligently and were ready to perform for judges. They all did an excellent job and are to be commended for their outstanding performances.

A big thank you goes out to Christy Bennett and Judy Tavernor for providing piano accompaniment to our PHS contestants.

Congratulations to all participants for your hard work, dedication, and success at the annual event. Once again, you represented Pawnee with class and style. High school band members are directed by Ms. Jamie Springman who wishes to express her sincerest gratitude to each and every participant for attending extra practice sessions held before and after school, as well as the time spent at home perfecting selections.
