DJ Danny Hosts Poetry Night

Check out the Slide Show

Hope you will visit this site often during the month to commemorate National Poetry Month.

Mrs. Simpson and Ms. Doglio are excited to host an Open-Mic Poetry Event April 29th at our annual Open House Arts Night. All grade levels may participate. We are hoping that many students, teachers, and guest readers/administrators/parents will participate. Be sure to select, practice, and be ready to read--you might even want to share a poem that you wrote yourself--that would be a special treat for us all. If you're a little stage-shy, partner up and read a poem with a friend.

Feel free to choose and print a poem from a site below, bring one from your home collection, or select one from your classroom reading book. Mrs. Simpson is going to introduce several poem books during library classes, as well as set up a display of books for you to enjoy. Also, you can visit this page during Mrs. Kern's Computer Class if you get your technology project finished early.

I plan to snap many pictures of our readers the 29th; be sure to re-visit this web page to see the slide show. You might be featured!

Many Thanks, Readers
The magic of poetry is alive & well at PGS.
We so enjoyed your readings. Hope you plan to read again next year and bring along a friend. Find & print Mrs. Cline's poem selection below.
A special thanks goes out to DJ Danny.
He really made the event special by introducing poets, complimenting fantastic reading, and keeping the audience informed of what was going on in other parts of the building such as the Lion's Club annual Chili dinner.

We hope to see you in the library at Open House. Even if you don't plan to recite a poem, be sure to stop in to say Hello and enjoy some poetry.

Sincerest Wishes, Ms. Doglio & Mrs. Simpson
