Pawnee Junior High and High School Meet AYP
Pawnee Junior High and High School Meet AYP
Pawnee Junior High and High School have received results from standardized tests (ISAT and PSAE) for the 2008-2009 school year. Pawnee Junior High and High School both have again met AYP requirements. AYP means “Adequate Yearly Progress” as defined by federal and state laws. Beginning with 2003, the AYP criteria were revised to reflect requirements of the “No Child Left Behind” (NCLB) and include the following:
- Schools must meet the target of 62.5% of students meeting or exceeding state standards in reading and mathematics.
- Schools must meet the 95% participation rate on state assessments, in the aggregate and for all sub groups
- Schools must meet the 90% attendance rate for junior high schools and 66% graduation rate for high schools.
