Pawnee School District wins "2010 BRIGHT STAR AWARD"
WOW!! WHAT A GREAT SCHOOL!
Pawnee Community District # 11 has been presented with The Bright Star Award in recognition of exemplary student and financial performance for both the Elementary
and the High School.
This award is given to districts whose students' academic performance ranks in the upper one-third of Illinois schools, but whose expenditures per pupil ranks in the lower one-fourth of Illinois School Districts based on 2009 Illinois Report Card data. According to the letter from Dr. Dee Shugart, President of School Search. Pawnee CUSD #11 is one of only 81 schools within the state's 869 districts to receive this award.
The award is presented by SchoolSearch, an educational research and consulting firm.
Bright Star recipients for districts serving elementary students in Sangamon County were Ball-Chatham, Pawnee, Pleasant Plains, Rochester and Williamsville.
Local recipients for districts serving high school students in Sangamon County were Ball-Chatham, Pawnee, Pleasant Plains and Williamsville.
